Scrollsaw SIG

The mission of the Scrollsaw SIG is to provide 'how-to' instruction along with inspirational projects. We attempt to promote scrolling as an art form as well as an enjoyable pastime. Each month the SIG hosts a new cutting project.

Our goal is to appeal to all skill levels and develop creative scrolling by sharing ideas on tips and techniques for successful projects.

Please come and participate. The Scrollsaw SIG meets the Second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m.  It is held at the Shop in Panther Valley at 405 Western Road #36, Reno,NV

Please check the club calendar for any last minute changes.

To participate, you must be a member in good standing and have completed the Shop Safety Course.

thumb IMG 2035In the October Scrollsaw SIG, we made some Christmas and Halloween items. These are some nice bowls made entirely on the scrollsaw.

100 2577For June, I have several designs to embellish pictures frames.

One is of mountain tops and pine trees, another is a lighthouse and rocks, last is an all over seashell pattern. I'm sure there are all kinds of ideas for picture frames.

We are continuing on the Balloon Race items. We could use a good amount to take to the races in September.

Contact me or stop by the Thursday night SIG for some patterns. All extra help is appreciated.

Scroll Saw Sig – April 2014

Everyone is hard at work picking out patterns and gluing the pattern to a board so the pattern can be cut at the scroll saw.
