CNC and Laser support for the Toy SIG

Special Interest Group that meets to work on 3D printing and laser engraving.

At 9am on Wednesday at a carving studio in Reno, members choose their own project from available patterns and cutouts, and carve until noon. Logged-in MEMBERS can click on VIEW for more details.

Scrollers meet 2pm on Wednesday. Registration required to reserve a scroll saw. Although their are specific project at each meeting, generally members meet to show and tell about their projects, learn from others, and engage in common projects using a fully equipped shop with multiple Scroll Saws and dozens of project patterns. Non-members are always invited to attend a meeting and audit the group.

Members attend to socialize, hear the latest from the club‘s leaders, experience a program, join a raffle, some light refreshments.

Enjoy making a unique Charcuterie Board in hardwood. Board can be in various shapes including States of Nevada, California, and Texas as well as Rabbit, Ornament, Guitar, Round, etc. You can also add an epoxy inlay of your choice in many shapes. Hardwood, tools and epoxy products are provided. Finish is not included. Many tools will be used including Table Saw. Router. and Sanders. No prior experience needed. This is a two-day class (October 15th and 20th). You must attend both days to complete project. Both classes will be at the Woodchucks Clubhouse. Class runs from 10;00 to 2;00 both days. You must be a member and have completed the Safety Test prior to attending. Contact Rod Procter 775-338-3585 if you have any questions.
Cost of class is $45.00. $25.00 paid on line at enrollment and $20.00 paid in cash at first day of class.
